We are a local Internet Service Provider, with dialup access nationwide and broadband access in the 252 area code. We offer a variety of account packages to meet your Internet access needs.  We offer services for those who only need e-mail and use the Internet occasionally to those "power users" who use the Internet on a more frequent basis.  We also host individual or business web and ftp sites, including individual domains (such as www.yourbusiness.org), and organizational e-mail routing.  Higher-speed ISDN, DSL and dedicated connections are also available, as are co-location of web or e-mail servers for larger organizations.  Upon request, we also design websites for businesses.

Our focus is on making the subscriber's total Internet experience as fast, fun, and friendly as possible.  Our all-digital network is designed to minimize busy signals, dropped connections, and lags in speed commonly experienced with incumbent providers.

Gatekeeper works by intercepting inbound and outbound mail at Gate811's secure server to scan for viruses or worms in e-mail messages or attachments.  The virus definition files are updated every fifteen minutes, and Gate811 uses an advanced heuristic scanning algorithm to detect new virus patterns before they have even become publicly known.  The number of virus infections and viruses in the wild is increasing daily: Gate811 stopped over two thousand viruses or worms in the first month of our testing period.

While we cannot guarantee we will catch all viruses, our software and services have proven extremely effective in eliminating the threat of infection.
